Using Songs to Express Hope in Care

Hope is a universal human experience that every generation has sought to find because loss, suffering, fear and pain are part of the human condition. We talk about looking for hope, recovering hope, preserving hope, finding hope, resilient hope, maintaining hope…

Hope is one of those four letter words, say like love, that has a broad meaning. In this workshop, Bev will explore our understanding of hope from philosophy, psychology and theology looking specifically in three care context areas: palliative care, mental health and spiritual well-being. Bev will weave in some of her original songs from her new album, Hope Seeds, as her personal expression of cultivating hope.
