LiUNA stands for the Laborers’ Internation Union of North America with over 500,000 members across the US and Canada. LiUNA is one of the most powerful and politically active construction unions in North America and is particularly influential in large-scale infrastructure projects.

LiUNA represents a variety of workers in health care and service settings such as hospitals, and long-term care. For example, LiUNA supports personal support workers, registered nurse assistants, registered nurses in some locals. Beyond just representing members in collective bargaining, LiUNA supports training and apprenticeship, health and safety training, member wellness programs and benefits, and political advocacy.
